WATCH OUT FOR THESE COMMON SAFETY PROBLEMS FOUND
WHEN SURVEYING A FABRICARE BUSINESS

1. Fire extinguishers - Improper number, not mounted or not inspected annually
2. Boiler - Not inspected, sticker not posted, combustibles stored in boiler room, rusty pipes and outer shell, or leaking
3. Leaking roofs, hanging or missing ceiling tiles
4. Substandard or spliced wiring, extension cords in use, or electrical panel boxes left open
5. Lint and dust on fixtures, walls, or equipment
6. Paper spikes used on counters
7. Leaking water hoses
8. Parking lot and/ or sidewalk in need of repair
9. Overgrown weeds, bushes and/ or trees near building
10. Debris on inside and/ or outside of building
11. No handrails on stairs
12. Tenants have no insurance
13. Use of contractors/ repairmen who have no insurance
14. No hazardous waste hauler contract
15. Substandard venting of dryers and boilers
