Scholarships for SDA Members

Receive up to $3,000 towards professional development for your employee
or
on-site training by a consultant

Any SDA/DLI member may apply for a scholarship towards DLI's live professional development, including the School of Drycleaning, virtual stain removal class, self study courses or in-house training by a consultant.  The SDA awards two scholarships a year towards professional development and one for an in-house consultant.  This opportunity is made possible by SDA's Gerald Stavely Education Fund. The financial assistance pays up to $3,000 to be used towards registration fees, hotel and flight expenses or consultant fee.

  • Applicants must be a full time employee or owner of an SDA/DLI member.

  • SDA/DLI member can receive one scholarship every 3 years.

  • Awarded funds are mailed after all receipts, a photo and re-cap of the experience have been submitted to SDA.

  • Applicant must register at least 4 weeks prior to the class start date.

  • Applications are submitted to the SDA Scholarship Committee for selection.

  • Education must be completed by April 15.

On-Site
Consultant
Scholarship

An On-Site Consultant Scholarship allows you to bring a consultant directly into your drycleaner to assist you with improving your business and/or provide training to your staff.

  • ​This scholarship is for an on-site consultant and cannot be used for a multi-month consultant membership.

  • SDA/DLI member can receive one scholarship every 3 years.

  • Applications are submitted to the SDA Scholarship Committee for selection.

  • Awarded funds are mailed after all receipts, a photo and re-cap of the experience have been submitted to SDA.

  • ​Consultant must be an SDA or DLI approved consultant.  If they are not pre-approved, you may submit a consultant to be vetted by the SDA Education Committee.  Here is the criteria.

  • Consultant work must be completed and receipts submitted by April 15.
